Susan Johnson for Conroe City Council

With a passion for leadership ingrained in every aspect of her being, Susan Johnson embodies the essence of what it means to serve.

SUSAN’S STORY

Susan, a proud 3rd generation Texan born in Ft. Worth, has deep roots in the Lone Star State. After graduating high school, Susan pursued a degree in Advertising at the University of Texas, where she honed her skills and passion for effective communication.

In a serendipitous encounter at a Disco in Austin in 1977, Susan met her future husband, Dean. Their story unfolded gradually, with Dean's life-changing profession of faith in Jesus Christ marking a pivotal moment in their relationship. The couple tied the knot in 1985, embarking on a journey filled with blessings and challenges.

Dean and Susan were blessed with four remarkable children, each a testament to God’s enduring love and their faith. Despite the grim predictions of rare diseases affecting two of their children, Lucas and Elliott, they defied odds and each lived over ten years longer than doctors expected, bringing immense joy to the Johnson family. Claire and Spencer, Dean and Susan’s younger children, are both successful adults pursuing their passions. Susan is very grateful for the time she invested in her children, pausing her career outside of her home to fully devote herself to her family.

Transitioning back to real estate after their children grew up, Susan obtained her broker's license in 2012, founding J Properties, a successful venture she continues to manage today.

In 2017, Dean and Susan purchased and restored a home in Conroe on Main Street, which is located near Sam Houston Elementary. Susan takes delight in the laughter of children playing in the schoolyard, a comforting soundtrack to her days filled with kids laughing and playing throughout her home.

An active member of Little Flock Church in Conroe, Susan remains deeply involved in her community, embodying her values of faith, compassion, and leadership. Her kind demeanor and unwavering dedication make her a natural choice for Conroe City Council, Position 1, where she aims to bring positive change and uphold the values that define her as a Conservative Christian leader.
